Project Creo: Bytes & Pieces - deadline 5 March 2007

Project Creo: Bytes & Pieces

Project Creo: The traditional scissors and paper have given way to computer scanning and Photoshop therefore the new elements of design have become film, photos and soundbytes.

The Arts Center is seeking proposal for work that uses digital or other interactive media to create collage. Bytes and Pieces will run from July 13th, 2007- August 18, 2007

Deadline for proposals is March 5th, 2007. No entry fee for submissions

Proposals must contain the following information:

*Current artist resume, including address, phone number and email.
*Brief artist statement
*Proposed work or installation, video, sound, 2D or 3D work.
*Provide a sketch of proposed work which includes approximate size, materials utilized, hardware needed and estimated time for installation.
*Slides, video, cd or photographs of your current work.
*Support materials, including past press (optional)
*SASE for retuned materials
*Estimated shipping cost.

Literary Associate to develop theatre writing in Lincolnshire - deadline 30 January 2007

Theatre Writing Partnership and Lincolnshire County Council are looking to recruit a Literary Associate to work on the development of theatre writing in Lincolnshire.

Working closely with Blackfriars Arts Centre, the South Holland Centre, the Terry O’Toole Theatre and the University of Lincoln, the new post is designed to discover and support playwrights across the county, with a particular focus on emerging writers, through the Momentum project.

If you are interested in applying for the post, please send a cv and a letter outlining your experience and why you would like the post to Sarah Françoise, to arrive no later than Tuesday 30th January.

This project was awarded this year’s St Hugh’s Commissioning Award.

will open in 2007 - Cinema_C by launching the new show, entitled:
“Slowtime 2007 - Quicktime as an artistic medium”.

Already in 2003, Cinematheque was exploring the artistic potential of the popular streaming videoformat Quicktime as it can be visited in Cinema_B (access via the Cinematheque site).

As Quicktime was undergoing a rapid technological development during the past years, it is time again for exploring the current state of Quicktime and its use as a medium for artistic expressions.

Cinematheque is inviting artists, video and film makers to submit up to three videos in Quicktime format - originating from 2004 or later, preferably sized 480×360 px, but not smaller than 320×240 px, a duration of max. 6 minutes, and make them available online on a separate webpage for review and download.

UAMO ART FESTIVAL 2007 - deadline 1 March 2007

UAMO ART FESTIVAL 2007 - “IT’S ABOUT TO BLOW UP !”

Until 01 March 2007 you can apply for the UAMO festival 2007 by email .

Genres: media art, painting, photography, graphic design, street art, video, interactive art.

All submitted works should refer to the theme “IT’S ABOUT TO BLOW UP!”

Applications must be accompanied by:

* title and short description of the work
* 3 or more images representing the quality of the work to be exhibited in 300 dpi (jpg/tif file)
* short vita and contact info
* production date

The works will be presented in a limited edition catalogue.

Submitted works will either be shown installed in the room or in the Online Screening at the festival (submit by email: festival@uamo.org ).
