a conversation on digital empowerment with Martha Lane Fox, the UK’s Digital Champion to take place on Thursday 31 January 2013 at Nesta.
Apart from being the UK’s Digital Champion, Martha is the Founder and Chair of Go ON UK, Chair of the Government Digital Service’s Advisory Board and sits on the Cabinet Office Efficiency and Reform Board. Martha co-founded lastminute.com in 1998 and sold the business to Sabre Holdings in 2005 – it is Europe’s largest travel and leisure site.
Martha will present her ideas on digital technology and empowerment – giving examples, discussing learning outcomes and advising on the future. The event will be in the format of an interview style discussion between Martha and Geoff Mulgan, CEO of Nesta. There will be the opportunity for audience members to submit questions in advance of the event and via a Q&A session at the event itself.
If you cannot attend in person, the event will also be live-streamed from 6pm on the Nesta website.
