Take part in a cinematic experiment – Nottingham Broadway, 23 June 2008
The Joy Of Box & Kit Anderson @ Broadway on Monday 23rd June
Would you like to take part in a cinematic experiment?
We need volunteers to make up an audience.
You will be shown a short show reel in Broadway’s Screen 4 and asked to participate in a short discussion thereafter. The discussion part of the experiment will be filmed and excerpts from it will be projected in the Broadway Cafe Bar later in the year.
The whole process will take up to 1 hour and there are two lunchtime slots: 12-1 and 1-2.
If you are interested then please send a confirmation e-mail to me giving your preferred time slot.
Contact: anna [at] broadway.org.uk.
For the purposes of the experiment we must ask all participants to arrive no later than the start of each alotted time slot as the experiment requires that participants must be present for the complete process.
Thank you for your interest and we look forward to hearing from you!
Please forward this if you know someone who might be interested and has time.

Alibi is a 50 minute dance and music performance and has been created during ongoing interdisciplinary research by Dr Sophy Smith (Research Fellow, Institute of Creative Technologies, De Montfort University) and Sandie Fisher (Dance Artist in Residence, University of Ulster) through their performance company Assault Events. Alibi is presented by Assault Events in association with the University of Ulster, supported by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
Assault Events produce inspiring and creative arts events that people want to watch, participate in and talk about. Since its formation the company have developed a reputation for exciting and innovative collaboration, inventing and producing events that fuse dance, live music, theatre and new writing.
This particular research project has focused on developing audience accessibility to performance work through interdisciplinary collaboration for alternative venues – Alibi has been created for the more informal environments of bars and social spaces.
We look forward to seeing you there.
